Mt Vernon Bike & Bus Tour

Start your day by renting a bike with Unlimited Biking in Old Town and freely explore the scenic waterfront Mount Vernon Trail, Old Town Alexandria & the Washington Estate! Lock up your bike outside the Mount Vernon entrance for the UB team to pick up at the end of the day.

The bike ride with is about an hour; be sure to come to the shop early so you can enjoy a more leisurely journey there! Bikes are available for pick up at 8:30AM.

+ Explore the property of Mt Vernon at your own leisure: the mansion (a scheduled tour), the restaurant, the museum & more!

+ After Mt Vernon, continue with USA Guided Tours to sightsee Old Town Alexandria. Meet them at the gate at 1pm! Stay on the bus after the tour for transportation back to Washington, DC if you desire

• + At the end of the day, there is no need to bike home: Unlimited Biking will collect the bike at the property and the tour guide will complete the tour with stops in Old Town and Downtown DC

Explore the historic Alexandria with help from USA Guided Tours x Unlimited Biking! We recommend guests to pick up their bikes by 10AM at the latest to start their journey. You can come as early as 8:30AM if you want more time to explore by bike. Guests begin their journey around the Mount Vernon Trail at their own pace. This scenic waterfront route takes you through Old Town Alexandria!

Make your way down the trail at your own leisure. Elevation changes are limited and the biking lanes are paved for an approximately 1.5 hour journey with A LOT to see along the way.

The entry ticket into the grounds is included in this package and provides you with museum access, a mansion tour, and access to the shops and other activities. You are welcome to meet our tour guide at 10:30 am at the front gates, should you be interested in biking directly there, or you may explore the property at your own leisure and connect with them at the scheduled mansion tour towards the end of the day. The time of which will be provided to you at the box office. Stay with them to meet the bus and driver and enjoy a guided sightseeing tour of historic Old Town Alexandria, VA!

On the tour see Christ Church, where Washington attended religious service, the historic harbor and the Masonic monument as well as the DC skyline before ending back downtown!
