The 9/11 Memorial & Museum (official name: The National September 11 Memorial & Museum) is located on what became known as Ground Zero – the site of the famed “twin towers”. The museum was built to commemorate victims of the September 11, 2001 attacks, as well as the 1993 World Trade Center bombing.
