Do I get my tickets in the mail?
We do not mail tickets to you. Instead, the email confirmation we send is your tour ticket – don’t delete it! However, if you misplace your confirmation email, use your last name as the reservation number.
What if I show up late, or just a few minutes before the scheduled departure time?
We highly recommend you arrive at least 15 – 20 minutes before your scheduled departure time to ensure your reservation is honored. You have up to ten (10) minutes before the scheduled departure time to ensure your seat on the tour. Ten (10) minutes before the departure time, we note outstanding reservations as “no shows.” If we have walk-up passengers, they will be given a ticket and will be boarded at this time.
Why type of buses does USA Guided Tours use?
Our luxury tour buses provide a comfortable and climate-controlled environment for an enjoyable touring experience, while also offering protection from the elements. We cater to various group sizes with a diverse fleet of vehicles, from SUVs to premium motor-coaches, ensuring that our private tours can be customized for couples or large groups alike. To maintain a more intimate atmosphere on our public tours, we intentionally limit the capacity of our tour buses to keep the average group size small.
We do our best to keep large, same-party groups together on the same bus, but please remember that the seating is assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. Once you claim your seats – they’re reserved only for you for the duration of the tour.
Are we allowed to bring luggage on the tour?
Unfortunately, our small-capacity tour buses are not wheelchair accessible, nor is there storage for baby strollers. If you have a wheelchair, please call us to make special vehicle arrangements for your tour. Some of our tours involve longer walks so if you like, you may stay on board the bus, near the landmark, without exiting the bus every time.
What is your pricing for children, and what ages are discounted for tour tickets?
Kids 12 and under receive USA Guided Tour’s discounted children’s price (varies with tours). Children under 3 years old ride for free, if they are able to be held in their parents’ lap during the tour. If you would rather have a separate seat for your infant, you may purchase a child’s discounted ticket.
Is the tip included in the tour ticket price?
Tips are not included in the tour ticket price. We do ask that you consider tipping your tour guide and driver and you had a great time with them. The standard tipping rate is 15%, or $8 – $10 per individual.
Should I pre-purchase tour tickets, or can I wait until I arrive in Washington DC to get tickets?
The good news is, you can wait until you arrive in Washington DC to get tickets for any of our tours and activities; however, many of our tours are in high demand when is season and you run a chance of your preferred tour being sold out. So we recommend booking well in advance, if you can, and also we would hate to have you miss out on a great sightseeing experience with us!
Check Tour Availability
Whoops – I booked my tour, but now I have to change the date or time! What can I do?
We understand things come up, so we will happily change your date or time as long as we have availability. If you must make a change, please contact us. However, please be aware that some of our tours cannot be amended once you have booked them as a part of a package, such as our hotel and Washington, DC tour packages.
How long do we stay at each stop on my tour?
It depends on the stop. Your tour guide will tell you the planned amount of time for each stop. It’s typically between 15 to 20 minutes. We have allowed enough time on every stop for you to walk around and take plenty of pictures!
Can you pick me up at my hotel?
Currently, we do offer pickup service from select hotels for some our Washington DC tours. Please contact your concierge or call our customer service line at 202-733-7376 for more details.
Do we go inside the White House?
We do not enter the White House on any of our tours. If you would like to visit the White House for a building tour, you must contact your Congressional Representative for U.S. Citizens or Ambassador for international travelers. Contact information is readily accessible online at your representatives’ or your national embassies’ website.
Are museum tickets included with the tour?
Unless otherwise noted, a public tour does not automatically include additional tickets to attractions or museums. Some tours, however, like our African American History and Culture Tour in Washington DC do include museum entry after the guided tour. A private tour, however, can include a wide variety of different tickets and experiences.
