Where do we meet for our tour?
Washington DC
Look for the tour greeter near the tall, white flagpoles on the Pennsylvania Ave side of the U.S. Navy Memorial Plaza at 701 Pennsylvania Avenue NW, Washington, DC 20004
The only exception is our Best of DC — VIP Tour, which departs from Neptune Fountain in front of the Library of Congress Thomas Jefferson Building at 68 First St SE, Washington, DC 20004
New York City
All our public tours start and end on 7th Avenue, between 50th and 51st Streets at 770 7th Ave, New York, NY 10019
I’m driving in and need to park my vehicle. Any suggestions?
We recommend using SpotHero – a parking reservation service that lets you find and reserve hourly, monthly, airport, and event parking at thousands of lots and garages in Washington DC and New York City.
Ultimately, there are multiple parking options available close to our Washington DC and NYC tours’ start/end points, and you can search and see them on google maps here (DC)and here (NYC).
What if I show up late, or just a few minutes before the scheduled departure time?
We highly recommend you arrive at least 15 – 20 minutes before your scheduled departure time to ensure your reservation is honored. You have up to ten (10) minutes before the scheduled departure time to ensure your seat on the tour. Ten (10) minutes before the departure time, we note outstanding reservations as “no shows.” If we have walk-up passengers, they will be given a ticket and will be boarded at this time.
If you’re running late, please call our office to reschedule your tour.

Can we bring baby strollers, wheelchairs, and carry-on luggage on board the tour vehicles?
We strive to make our tours accessible and enjoyable for everyone. We can accommodate foldable wheelchairs and foldable baby strollers. However, if you or a member of your party uses a full-size wheelchair that requires a ramp, we kindly ask you to contact us directly. We’re more than happy to make arrangements to accommodate your mobility needs.
For those with full-size baby strollers and carry-on luggage, we recommend storing them at your hotel or utilizing a professional storage service to ensure your tour experience is as smooth and comfortable as possible.
Our tours do involve some walking, but we want to assure you that your comfort is our priority. If you prefer, you have the option to stay on board the bus near each landmark, without the need to exit at every stop.
Is the tip included in the tour ticket price?
Tips are not included in the tour ticket price. We do ask that you consider tipping your tour guide and driver and you had a great time with them. The standard tipping rate is 15%, or $8 – $10 per individual.
Are we allowed to bring luggage on the tour?
We advise against bringing any luggage on our public tours. For those with luggage and full-size baby strollers, we recommend storing them at your hotel or utilizing a professional storage service to ensure your tour experience is as smooth and comfortable as possible. If you are taking a private tour with us, be sure to mention these concerns with your private concierge as accommodations can be arranged for private experiences and custom tours.
Are service animals allowed on buses?
USA Guided Tours’ policy prohibits animals on tours, however, we will accept without charge a Service Animal required to assist a person with a disability. Before admitting customers with Service Animals onboard any of our vehicles, USA Guided Tours personnel are permitted to ask if the animal is required because of a disability, and what type of work or task the animal has been trained to perform.
To a reasonable extent possible, USA Guided Tours will assign a seat next to a person who agrees to share the open seat next to them (as they may be allergic, etc.), and the service animal must ride in the vehicle within the owner’s space. Note: The Service Animal is not permitted to occupy a passenger seat.
To the extent required by law, and at their sole discretion, USA Guided Tours LLC reserves the right to refuse any Service Animal onboard its buses when reasonably necessary, for the comfort and safety of other passengers and USA Guided Tours employees and its partners/affiliates.

What is your pricing for children, and what ages are discounted for tour tickets?
Kids 12 and under receive USA Guided Tour’s discounted children’s price (varies with tours). Children under 3 years old ride for free, if they are able to be held in their parents’ lap during the tour. If you would rather have a separate seat for your infant, you may purchase a child’s discounted ticket. Please note, however, that strollers may not fit on our vehicles unless they are collapsible and can be reduced to the space underneath a seat.
Should I pre-purchase tour tickets, or can I wait until I arrive in NYC/Washington, DC to get tickets?
The good news is, you can wait until you arrive in NYC/Washington, DC to get tickets for any of our tours and activities; however, many of our tours are in high demand when is season and you run a chance of your preferred tour being sold out. So we recommend booking well in advance, if you can, and also we would hate to have you miss out on a great sightseeing experience with us!

How long do we stay at each stop on my tour?
All of our tours are curated so it depends on the tour. Your tour guide will tell you the planned amount of time for each stop. It’s typically between 10 to 20 minutes. Each tour has been well thought out and planned for enough time to learn some interesting history, take plenty of pictures and take advantage of bathroom breaks!
Can you pick me up at my hotel?
Currently, we do not provide hotel pickup service for our NYC tours.
We do offer pickup service from select hotels for our Washington DC tours. Please contact your concierge or call our customer service line at 202-733-7376 for more details.
Do we go inside the White House?
We do not enter the White House on any of our tours. If you would like to visit the White House for a building tour, you must contact your Congressional Representative for U.S. Citizens or Ambassador for international travelers. Contact information is readily accessible online at your representatives’ or your national embassies’ website.
Are museum tickets included with the tour?
Unless otherwise noted, a public tour does not automatically include additional tickets to attractions or museums. Some tours, however, like our African American History and Culture Tour in Washington DC do include museum entry after the guided tour. Thanks for making my dad bday that much more memorable! My dad a senior citizen and the pace was perfect for him, including all the bathroom breaks and patience. Thank you Terry for a tour to remember and for signing to my dad happy birthday!!! Memories to last a lifetime. His service dog loved it too!!!
We took the DC tour on Sunday. Nick was our guide. The tour was a great way to see the sights and learn interesting facts. Nick loves his job and it shows! He was funny and informative! Highly recommend Nick and the 6 hour DC day tour. We had and amazing time!!
We had a fantastic time on our night tour. Paul was a perfect blend of humor and providing us interesting facts and history! He could not have done a better job!!!
Tyler Marie was our wonderful guide on this small bus tour of NYC. She was upbeat and so knowledgeable and happily answered our questions. Would definitely recommend this 6 hour tour. Frequent stops at highlights broke up the time nicely. We had fewer than 30 people on our bus. Our tour never felt rushed! Great experience.
Gil was an amazing tour guide. We booked the 6 hour NYC tour and I can not imagine a better way to see all that we saw in half a day. We started in Times Square, we were educated on history and architecture throughout our day. We made stops in Central Park, Rockefeller Center, Madison Square, the 911 Memorial, Ferry to Staten Island w views of The Statue of Liberty, & so much more. Worth every penny!
Excellent half-day tour of NYC if you’re pressed for time and want to see as much as you can! Tour guide was knowledgeable, witty, and engaging!
Great tour! Tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable and a New Yorker so that’s always a plus. I’d definitely recommend this tour!
Had a wonderful tour of NYC, with great guide, Dayna. I have been on other tours but this was the most informative. A fantastic price for what you get.
Had a fantastic NYC guided tour. Drove past across most landmarks of the city and also stopped over at the major ones. Our tour guide Rachel and the bus driver Jim, both were outstanding. Would surely recommend!
